Garner Road Construction update
Please take a moment to watch my public statement video regarding the upcoming Garner Road full closure.
Garner Road will be closed to through traffic between Southcote Road and Glancaster Road beginning July 13, 2026 while the City completes the remaining underground sewer repairs. A full road closure will be in place between Springbrook Avenue and 850 Garner Road East. Local access will be maintained throughout the remainder of the closure area.
The closure is required to safely complete deep excavation work (nine meters) that cannot be carried out while traffic continues. It is expected to remain in place until September 4, 2026 weather and construction conditions permitting.

Cassar, Where You Are!
With the warmer weather upon us, I’ll be travelling to neighbourhoods and communities around Ward 12 for pop-up 'Cassar Where You Are' meetings in parks and community spaces.
You can meet me, your Ward 12 Councillor, ask questions, or share your thoughts on municipal topics.
I'll post upcoming locations here, on the event calendar, and on my social media platforms.

Mid-Term Report
If you missed the mailed out issue of my Mid-Term Report, click the image of the report or pick one up at our office, 300 Wilson St E
It contains a compilation of important topics and decisions made at City Hall during the first half of the 2022 - 2026 term of Council.
We couldn't fit everything in the printed version, so I've created a webpage with more information and helpful links on each topic!
2026 Operating and Capital Budget
The City’s operating and capital budget was finalized in February 2026 and includes a 3.8% average increase to the residential property tax levy.

I hope you are enjoying my video series, Craig’s List – Support Local.
